Announces Re-branding of Network Connectivity Product Lines
Miami, Florida – May 11, 2001 – Advanced Electronic Support Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: AESP and AESPW) today announced the re-branding of the company’s product lines—including integration of their FOCUS Networks active components and workstation connectivity products into the SignamaxÔ Connectivity Systems brand. The Company will continue to design, manufacture, and market active networking, premise cabling and workstation connectivity products worldwide.
At the same time, the Company announced that its networking products which have been sold by its Premise Network Group will now be sold under the name “Signamax Connectivity Systems.” The Company’s OEM Group will continue to operate under the AESP name and provide customized products and solutions for original equipment manufacturers.

Company’s Vice President , Network Group, stated: “The new Signamax
Connectivity Systems’ mission is to provide complete network solutions –
from the server’s network card, to the workstation – and everything in
between. By providing our customers with a seamless, unified product selection
for copper and fiber based networks, we will be better positioned to offer
systems engineered for increased performance, greater reliability and
affordability, while simplifying users installations. By consolidating the
Company’s product lines under the Signamax Connectivity Systems name, we can
deliver our message into the marketplace far more effectively. This new strategy
will also let us better promote cross-product relationships more clearly, a key
advantage for Signamax Connectivity Systems”.
The Company’s recent introduction of a Category 6 cabling system for the European market, and the new Gigabit Ethernet products for worldwide distribution, demonstrates its efforts to provide products for both the cabling infrastructure and the active network that are designed from the start to work together. As a result, the Company’s product greatly simplifies the implementation of network technologies such as Gigabit Ethernet.
